Tunday Kababi of Lucknow – A Century-Old Legacy

12/11/2025  Anish Srivastava  76 views

Introduction

When one speaks of Lucknow, two things instantly come to mind — the City of Nawabs and Tunday Kababi.
This dish is not just food — it’s a heritage, a piece of culinary art that has ruled the hearts of food lovers for over a century.

The story begins with Haji Murad Ali, a one-armed chef who created this magical kebab that would go on to become Lucknow’s most famous identity.
Even today, the aroma from Aminabad’s narrow lanes carries his legendary taste.

> ✨ “He who has tasted Tunday Kabab has truly experienced Lucknow.”

2. Add gram flour and mix thoroughly until the texture becomes smooth.
3. Marinate for at least 2–3 hours for deep flavor infusion.
