Legendary Bollywood actor Dharmendra is no more. The 89-year-old veteran breathed his last on Monday afternoon at his Mumbai residence. His cremation was performed at the Vile Parle crematorium, where several top Bollywood stars including Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan were present.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Dharmendra’s demise marks “the end of an era.”

Earlier in the afternoon, an ambulance arrived at Dharmendra’s residence, and security was heightened at the crematorium. His mortal remains were taken to Vile Parle by ambulance, where arrangements had already been made.

Dharmendra was suffering from age-related health issues for some time.

On 10 November, he faced severe breathing difficulties and was rushed to Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai.

He was placed on ventilator support during his stay.

There were rumors regarding his health and death at that time, which the family denied.

On 12 November, he was discharged, and doctors decided his treatment would continue at home.

However, his condition worsened on 18 November, and he passed away peacefully at home.
